Admission Matters

  • Admission of UG, PG, and Ph. D. Students to the college.
  • Act as a Liaison between MCE and the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
  •  Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, related to Admissions.

General Issues

  • Notification of student representatives if each branch of engineering on the recommendation of respective Heads of the Departments.
  • Formation of Student Council/ by conducting elections, nominating the elected students to various student bodies, addressing the issues related to students, etc.
  • Formation of Anti-ragging committee and maintenance of related records.
  • Nominating the Faculty advisers to support student-related issues, especially for I year BE students.
  • To organize FAREWELL to all outgoing students during the Even semester term.
  • Addressing the queries of students.

  • Issue of notification for Best outgoing student Award,
  • Issue of notification for the Branch toppers Award,
  • Issue of notification for the MTES Gold medals for both the above.

Students’ Activities

College Day Celebrations (Malnad Fest).

The College day is organized and celebrated during the 11th or 12th week of even semester term by the Students Council of the college, under the stewardship of the Dean (SA). The literary club also extends the required support for the same.

On application submitted by a student, the institute may issue or liaison with Colleges/ University for :

  • Study certificate
  • Bonafide certificate
  • Expenditure certificate for Bank loan.
  • Certificates related to VTU, Belgaum.
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Marks cards (P.G. and Ph. D). (for UG -Dean Exams will issue the required Grade cards)
  • Provisional Degree Certificate (P.G. and Ph. D) and Transcript (P.G.) (for UG -Dean Exams will issue the required PDC and Transcript)

STUDENT CREDENTIALS VERIFICATION AND/ OR CERTIFICATES ISSUED BY THE COLLEGE

Verifying agency willing to verify the certificate/credentials of Alumni of Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan can do so by sending an application with the details furnished below by e-mail/post mentioning the purpose of the verification along with following enclosures:

Upon receiving the bank draft and other documents in order, it takes approximately 5 working days from the day of receiving the above documents to process an application (excluding the postal time).

Verification charges

Any agency willing to verify the academic record of a student has to pay:

1. For alumni who have passed in the last fifth year or beyond:
Rs.2000/-per record (If the request is made within India)
US $ 50.0(If the request is made from abroad)

2. For alumni who have left the institution within the last 5 years:
Rs.2000/-per record (If the request is made within India)
US $ 50.0(If the request is made from abroad)

plus an additional fee of Rs 100/- (If the request is made within India) or US $5 (If the request is made from abroad) per year for the years exceeding the fifth year.
