Admission Matters

SCHOLARSHIPS ISSUES
- Issue of notification for Karnataka Government scholarships, processing of students’ records and forwarding the same to the concerned authorities.
- Issue of notification of other Central Government/Private Scholarships and processing of such records/forwarding the same to the concerned authorities.
- Issue of notification of MTES Scholarship, initiated by the MTES ®, Hassan.

Group personal accident insurance scheme implemented to the students and teaching, non-teaching and ministerial staff of the college:
Coverage:
1. Personal Accident as per Students safety insurance i.e., Capital Sum Insured (CSI) of Rs. 3 lakhs per student/staff.
Benefits:
(100% of CSI – in case of Accidental Death or Loss of 2 limbs or 2 eyes or 1 limb
& 1 Eye or Permanent Total Disablement due to any other injuries. 50% of CSI on Loss of 1 limb or 1 eye.
2. Tuition Fees Cover: - available only for Students :-
In case of death of Earning Parent in an accident, Tuition Fee is payable - (tuition
fees for the remaining semesters subject to maximum of Rs 3 lakhs.
3. Medical expenses of student & Staff for In-Patient Hospitalization due to accident up to Rs 50,000/-
Policy Excess: 1% of the Claim amount subject to minimum of Rs 500.
Loss of school bag of student in the accident up to Rs 1500.
Conditions:
1. Proper Attendance Register giving the names of all students is maintained throughout the Policy Period, which is to be made available to Insurer if required.
2. Additional student/staff can be added to the policy after collection of additional premium per head.
3. Claim Payment to parent/guardian of the student as recorded in the school register and as certified by the school Authorities.
4. Death/Medical Expenses due to any sickness/illness are not covered.
5. Other Terms and Conditions and warranties as per New India Student Safety Policy Clauses attached herewith.

CLUBS
SoUL :
SoUL is a voluntary student organisation which was formed by a group of students on 9th February 2014 with the tagline: "Educating minds, Empowering lives". The organisation teaches the kids of Balamandir, every Sunday and it also organises SoUL Day every year as a part of educational entertainment for kids and drives are conducted as a part of social awareness.
VISION
To recognize and nurture the talents of young in need. Provide English education to survive in this competitive world. To create moments of happiness and bring smiles on young and old faces.
MOTTO
Main motto is to teach the kids with basic english required. The organization was registered by the government in 2018. At present the organization has 36 active members.

MALNAD FEST
A type of fest which considers each and everyones' interest and can be called as an "ALL IN ONE FEST"
It is divided into 4 main categories:

° Buddhimaan
° Kalakrithi
° Darpan
Balwaan: As the name suggests, it's for all sports geeks out there. Try your luck in sports related events like pentathlon, water polo and much more.
Buddhimaan: How intelligent are you??? Test your vocabulary and oratory skills in various sub events comprising literati, spell-a-thon and toastmaster.
Kalakrithi: All artists out there, it's your time to shine! A chance to show your artistic skills with events like graffiti, art attack etc
Darpan: Are you ready to rock the stage with your amazing talent? Yes, cultural events at your door step like dance for a cause, dance to the step and much more.
A fest without an ultimate win is too sober. So, all the branches out there brace yourself for the ultimate challenge to win the title "SARVOTTAM". The concluding day of the fest is the ultimate win with a DJ floor to groove on consisting of more than 2500 people in the entire fest.
NOESIS: A magazine to read anywhere, anytime on your e-device. Well, this e-magazine, comes out specially during odd semesters. It comprises everything. Articles, Poems, Stories, Photography and Arts in all three languages including Hindi, English, Kannada for you to choose from!

● Action-based activities like tree plantation (herbal garden), cleanliness drives both within and outside the college campus.

specifying biological names and common names.
● Eternity - a event which triggers the eco-concern among the technical students and develops an understanding that nature is the ultimate technology.
● Vanya chaithanya is a event to imbibe concern for wild and
wilderness in budding brains of in and around Hassan.
● Spot Fixing - every year Malnad eco club chooses a spot in Hassan city, immaculate that place and also maintains it.
ROTARACT CLUB, MCE
Goal
● To unravel the talent and creativity of young minds of Hassan.
● To provide an opportunity to experience placements and strengthen the entrepreneurial abilities.
● To motivate people for eventual membership in Rotary.
Vision
To provides young people to develop the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development and to address the physical and social needs of their communities.

The club commits itself to the society and following the motto of Rotaract: fellowship through service, it enables the Rotaractors to give back to the community they live in.
Objectives of Rotaract Club of MCE
● To provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities.
Activities of Rotaract Club of MCE
The club conducts various events so as to improve the lives of the individuals in the community.
● The club organizes REFLECTIONS, the major event of the club which provides an opportunity for the students from several schools in and around Hassan to participate in this event and bring out the best in them.
● TUSSLE, being another event from the club gives a clear picture of the recruitment process. It helps the students to cope up enough confidence to face future recruitments.
● The club also contributes its bit by maintaining a record of blood groups of students who are willing to donate blood in case of any emergency.
General Issues
- Notification of student representatives if each branch of engineering on the recommendation of respective Heads of the Departments.
- Formation of Student Council/ by conducting elections, nominating the elected students to various student bodies, addressing the issues related to students, etc.
- Formation of Anti-ragging committee and maintenance of related records.
- Nominating the Faculty advisers to support student-related issues, especially for I year BE students.
- To organize FAREWELL to all outgoing students during the Even semester term.

Students’ Activities
College Day Celebrations (Malnad Fest).
The College day is organized and celebrated during the 11th or 12th week of even semester term by the Students Council of the college, under the stewardship of the Dean (SA). The literary club also extends the required support for the same.
